Set foot on historic Ms Symra and join XXLofoten for an authentic fishing trip. Set course past the Fisherman’s Wife statue and enter (in)famous Vestfjorden where the skilled crew will guide you to the most promising fishing areas based on the season. Once the spot is found, the crew will help you set out one of the 10 hand lines. While we wait for our first catch, the guide will share fascinating stories and historical anecdotes about the significance of fishing in Lofoten, a tradition that that stretches back to Viking times. 

If we're in luck and we catch some fish, the guide will teach you how to fillet it right on board. And yes, you can take home your fresh catch of the day. Whether you're a novice or an expert fisher, this tour is suitable for you.

Ms Symra turned 100 years in 2017 and is an experience in itself. The boat is specially built for fishing in Lofoten and is a jewel of history and authenticity. It has received the protected status by the Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage. Being on board let's you experience how fishermen in Lofoten lived and worked for centuries. It brings you closer to the elements and is great for anyone with interest in cultural experiences, local history, nature and photography.

The boat is certified for 38 guests and with 10 fishing spots and maximum 20 people on board, you are ensured to have plenty of fishing time and space for a comfortable experience.
