About Us

Brim Explorer is a travel and technology company that offers quiet, sustainable and innovative experiences in Tromsø, Lofoten, Bodø, Oslo and Svalbard.

Brim Explorer was established in 2018, and since then we have developed and built five electric and hybrid-electric ships. All ships are designed with the guest experience in mind. With panoramic windows and 3 decks all accessible for our guests, our ships offers unique sightseeing experience of both nature and wildlife.

Sustainability is integral to everything we do, and is one of the core founding pillars since the establishment of the company in 2017. We work purposefully to reduce our CO2 emissions and therefore we continuously develop and improve the technology in our boats. Our goal is to exclusively build fully electric ships in the future, and we aim to retrofit our hybrid ships to be fully electric by 2030.

Brim Explorer takes you on quiet, sustainable and unforgettable experiences at sea – in Oslo, Tromsø, Lofoten, Bodø and Svalbard.

Our specially designed boats are built to give our guests the best view of nature and wildlife, with a minimal climate footprint. With fully electric and hybrid-electric motors, we sail almost silently through some of Norway's most beautiful waters.

On board you will find spacious lounges, modern, Norwegian design furniture, large panoramic windows and guides who tell you about life in the sea and along the coast. The food on board is based on Norwegian ingredients, and prepared by the renowned restaurant Einer.

When we deploy the underwater drone, you even get the opportunity to experience the world below the sea surface - without getting your toes wet.
