Bodø - Silent Kjerringøy Coastal Cruise

One of the most common questions! A fjord is a long, elongated valley with steep land on three sides and created by a glacier. The open end connects on with the ocean, filling it with salt water.

A fjord is formed when a glacier retreats, carving out and leaving behind a valley that is below sea level. The melting water from the glacier transports and pushes down rocks and residual towards the fjords entrance, making the entrance of the fjord often shallower than the middle of the fjord.

The tour will be a maximum of 6 hours. This includes the stop over in Kjerringøy.

The Kjerringøy tour with Brim Explorer in bodø will be an estimated 1 hour on land. When we arrive in Kjerringøy, we will take a 10 min walk from the dock to the entrance. Guests are then free to roam for 40-50 minutes before being encouraged to come back to the boat.

The Kjerringøy & Nordfjord cruise with brim Explorer is disability friendly. Our boats welcome anyone with disabilities, and can either be seated at a safe place on the boat or they can sit in our allocated section on the boat.
We do however want to note, that the stop over on land at Kjerringøy can be tricky to navigate. When we arrive at the dock, there is a short 10 minute walk that is not disability friendly. The alternative path requires an additional distance walk, making the walk 20 minutes to the entrance.

On the Kjerringøy & Nordfjord cruise with Brim Explorer, you are able to purchase snacks and drinks from the bar. We do not however have a full kitchen. Depending on availability, fresh pastries, sandwiches or toasted sandwiches will be available. Additionally, chocolates, nuts and crisps are available.

We strive to be as flexible as possible when it comes to changing dates. Our cancellation policy is per below and is calculated back from the start time of your tour.

Reservations up to 9 people:

• More than 48 hours in advance - 100% refund
• Less than 48 hours in advance - 0% refund

Reservation for 10 or more people:

• 15 or more days in advance - 100% refund
• 14 - 8 days in advance - 50% refund
• 7 days - 48 hours in advance - change number of guests max 25%
• 48 hours or less in advance - 0% refund

Our boat is designed with warm indoor saloons and panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows so that even on rainy days you will be able to have a good view. On rainy days we often have low hanging clouds in Trollfjorden that give an eery and dramatic feeling to the fjord.

Our Trollfjord Cruise will continue rain or shine. If the weather conditions are unsafe, we will cancel our tour and offer you to reschedule or receive a full refund.

The tour is subject to weather conditions. In case of unfavourable weather, we prioritise the safety and comfort of our guests and may reschedule the tour. Rescheduling then commences as per our terms and conditions
